What We Build
Four ways we work — all of them custom.
Why Custom
Stock cabinets fit a catalog. Yours should fit your house.
Custom work is not about ornament. It is about millimeters, storage you actually use, and materials that hold up for decades.
Exact fit
Every case is built to field measurements of your walls, floors and ceilings — no filler strips hiding a stock-size compromise.
Storage that works
Drawer banks, pull-outs, appliance garages and pantry interiors laid out around what you own and how you use it.
Materials and finishes
Solid hardwoods and quality panel stock, paint or stain matched to the rest of your home rather than a catalog swatch.
Built to stay
Sound joinery, quality hardware and finishes chosen for daily use. Cabinetry should outlast the trends around it.
Whole-House & New Builds
Cabinetry for every room, drawn and built as one package.
On a new build or a full renovation, we can handle the cabinetry throughout the house — fully custom, with one shop responsible for design, measurements, schedule and installation.
- Kitchen and butler's pantry
- Primary and secondary baths
- Laundry and mudroom
- Home office and study
- Bar and wine storage
- Built-ins, closets and specialty runs
Details, finishes and hardware stay consistent room to room, and production is sequenced against your construction schedule so each phase installs when the site is ready. Whole-house and new-construction packages are fully custom.
Also Available — Semi-Custom
A more streamlined path, when that's the better fit.
Full custom is what we're known for and where most of our work lives. For kitchens and bathrooms only, we also offer a semi-custom cabinetry line: curated door styles, finishes and configurations chosen from a set range rather than drawn from scratch. Less flexibility than bespoke — but the same care in measuring, ordering and installing. Built-ins, commercial and specialty work remain fully custom.
Process
Six steps, clearly communicated.
Every project is custom, so timing varies — but the sequence doesn't.

Where We Work
Where we work.
Timbercraft builds custom cabinets for homes and businesses across the Kansas City area, and we don't hold to a set radius. These are examples of communities we build for — if your project sits outside them, just ask.

FAQ
Questions worth asking a cabinet shop.
Straight answers on scope, pricing and how we work.
- What kinds of cabinetry does Timbercraft build?
- Kitchens, bathroom vanities and storage, built-ins and specialty cabinetry — libraries, mudrooms, offices, bars, closets and odd walls — plus commercial casework and architectural millwork.
- What is the difference between custom and semi-custom?
- Fully custom cabinetry is drawn from scratch for your room: any size, configuration, door style and matched finish. Semi-custom means choosing from a curated range of door styles, finishes and sizes for a more predictable schedule and leaner budget. Semi-custom is available for kitchens and bathrooms only; built-ins, commercial and specialty work are always fully custom.
- Do you work with interior designers, remodelers and builders?
- Yes. We work as a subcontractor and collaborator: shop drawings and elevations for client approval, field measurements verified before material is ordered, realistic lead times and install sequenced with counters, tile and trim.
- How is pricing determined?
- Pricing follows the scope: how many cabinets, the species and panel stock, door style and finish, hardware and interior fittings, and the installation conditions. We price to confirmed field measurements and a defined scope rather than a per-foot guess.
- What information helps you start a project?
- Rough dimensions of the space, a few photos, the look and function you're after, your timing and a realistic budget range. Architectural drawings or a finish schedule help on trade and commercial work.
- Do you take projects outside the communities you list?
- There is no set radius. The communities listed on this page are examples of where we build — if your project sits outside them, just ask.
